Abstract
As you may have noticed, the long-standing Multiple Linear Regression Viewpoints peer-reviewed journal has changed its title to the General Linear Model Journal (GLMJ) beginning immediately with volume 41. At the annual business meeting (American Educational Research Association [AERA] 2015, Chicago), a member-initiated proposal was put forth to the membership in attendance to change the name of the journal from Multiple Linear Regression Viewpoints to the General Linear Model Journal. The spirit of this proposed title alteration was to update the journal’s scope and appeal in terms of manuscript submissions and potential membership interests. GLMJ still intends to continue to address research in the areas of theory, application, and teaching of general linear models. Additionally, the journal will also study and expand upon developments, for instance, in complementary, innovative research areas such as predictive analytics, big data, data mining, multi-level modeling, or structural analyses. After membership discussion, the proposal passed unanimously.
