About the Journal
We accept a wide variety of genres and modes that display the exceptional work of students, inside and outside the classroom. We are interested in works of narrative nonfiction and expository essay, as well as visual and digital assemblies, that express an informed perspective and seek to communicate with various public audiences.
We define an informed perspective as an intentional arrangement of materials – text-based or multimodal – that asks questions, promotes conversation, and develops understanding. This implies awareness of chosen genre, audience, cultural context, and message.
Though we are initially interested in the work of undergraduate students at The University of Alabama, we’re open to submissions of undergraduates from any college or university.
For more information about the submission guidelines and review process, please see our For Authors section.
